About the ACP
At Free Tablet Government, we proudly supported the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) while it was active β helping thousands of individuals and families across the U.S. get internet, mobile service, and free devices. Though new signups are currently frozen, weβre still committed to helping eligible users stay informed and connected.
What Was the ACP?
The Affordable Connectivity Program was a federal initiative designed to reduce internet and mobile costs for low-income households. Qualified users received:
-
Up to $30/month off internet or mobile service
-
Up to $75/month off if living on qualifying Tribal lands
-
A one-time discount of up to $100 toward a connected device like a tablet or laptop (with a small co-pay)
ACP Eligibility (While Active)
To qualify for ACP, your household needed to meet at least one of these criteria:
- Your income was at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- You were enrolled in assistance programs like SNAP/EBT, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Free/Reduced School Meals, WIC, or Lifeline
- You lived on qualifying Tribal lands and received Tribal-specific aid
